Did you know that GuardSight has an internal voluntary virtual rally point known as Clarity that takes place weekly to encourage ideation, participation, knowledge sharing, and learning?
Here’s what it’s all about: Clarity is a weekly sixty-minute virtual assembly of GuardSight employees where aggressive curiosity flourishes. Any teammate can present on any topic. Most of the presentations are cybersecurity-related, but topics are not restricted to cyber. Presentations have been made on various topics, including the history of cybercrime, effective communications, learning to fail, cyber range implementations, tabletop exercises, and cyber analysis execution models. One Clarity session, titled “Wake-Up with Abby,” developed and presented by GuardSight teammate Abby Allen, concerned the impact of night shift work on one’s physiology and behavior.
GuardSight is a US-based organization, and teammates handling the 1800-0800 Mountain overnight shifts reside in the United States (#USAjobs). Although leadership rotates those assignments, the reality exists that those overnight crews could experience circadian disruptions, accelerated fatigue, and feelings of disconnect from the larger workforce. Abby’s Clarity presentation was geared to help her teammates understand and mitigate those risks and included essential elements of physiology and behavior, such as:
- Circadian Rhythm and Light
- Jet Lag
- Melatonin Supplements Debate
- Body Temperature Minimums
- Impact of Blue Light
What does this mean for you as someone already utilizing or considering purchasing one of the GuardSight SECOPS protection packages? Reduced operator fatigue, reduced dwell time, steady cyber readiness posture, continuity, and an enlightened human force multiplier performing on your behalf.
